I’ve discovered lots of good nuggets of information that I think will bring value to your life. 1 – Appreciate How Special You Really Are
You are unique to this world and have your own special talents and abilities. Even though everyone else has special talents and abilities as well, you use them that are unique to you and to the world.
2 – Use Affirmations
Affirmations are a powerful tool to rewire your brain. You can change the way you think about yourself and your circumstances. Affirmations manifest positive change and help you fall in love with yourself all over again. Here are a few affirmations Sincero offers for self-love:
- “I receive and deserve massive amounts of love, every moment of every day.”
- “I am one with the Universe. The Universe is awesome and so am I.”
- “My heart is open. Love pours in and out.”

3 – Do Things You Love
Do things that make you feel alive. Make time to do things that you love and don’t make excuses. Pencil activities on your calendar if you have to. You aren’t a selfish person for putting yourself first.
4 – Find a Replacement
What Jen Sincero means by this is to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Pay attention to the negative things that you say to yourself and replace them with an improved response. For instance, you can replace thoughts like, “I’m fat and unattractive,” when you look in the mirror with something like, “I’m attractive and good-looking.” Find replacements to change your negative views about yourself.
5 – Stop Self-Deprecating Humor
It’s okay to be able to laugh at yourself, but when it is constant, it get’s old fast. You should not rip on yourself every opportunity you have. You are not only getting people to think you are a loser, but you are conditioning your own mind to believe you are a loser. I personally see this all the time on social media. A few of my friends constantly rag on themselves. If you tend to do this, commit to stop now.
6 – Let the Love In
Receive compliments graciously. When someone compliments you, say “thank you.” Don’t go into all the reasons why their compliment isn’t true. You should also take care of your body. Do things for your body that will make it feel great. Exercise, get massages, get enough rest. etc.

7 – Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
We are on our own paths. Don’t waste time comparing yourself to others. You have the tools to run your own race. If you had what someone else had, you’d fail in your own life. You have exactly what you need to succeed.
8 – Forgive Yourself
Everyone makes mistakes. You have screwed up in the past and you will screw up in the future. Get over it. Holding on to bad feelings about a mistake will do nothing but harm you and those around you.
9 – Love Yourself
Sincero says that loving yourself is the Holy Grail of happiness. I also agree that loving yourself is a vital piece of being happy. We are with ourselves 24/7 365. Why not love the person you have to be with all the time?
Conclusion
I thought these 9 tips in You are a Badass are really good pieces of advice I feel you should think about. They will go a long way in helping you fall in love with yourself all over again.
