We all need to relax and treat ourselves every once in a while. It’s good for our happiness. Make an effort to schedule some “me” time every month. If you are having some problems thinking of things to do, here are 25 ways to relax and pamper yourself.

1 – SPA Day

Plan a day one weekend to treat yourself to a nice spa. If you don’t have the money, make one at home. There are plenty of ready-made kits you can buy. Treat yourself to a fancy spa day somewhere or relax and treat yourself at home with a spa kit.

2 – Long Bath

Pamper yourself with some light some candles, add some bubbles, and relax. Add a little music in there and you are golden. Sometimes you just need to relax and get away from it all. A hot bath is a nice way to de-stress and soothe those aching muscles as well.

3 – Eat Your Favorite Ice Cream

It’s okay to indulge in a sweet treat every once in a while. Buy the good stuff and treat yourself. And do yourself a favor. When you buy the ice cream, don’t get what the kids or spouse likes, get what YOU like.

4 – Pamper Yourself With A Massage

Massage places are everywhere. Make an appointment and pamper yourself. Can’t get out? Ask your spouse or partner to help you out. I’m not the greatest at giving massages so I make it a point to get my wife a massage gift certificate every once in a while. If you are like her, and have a hard time getting things for yourself, remember gift cards make great gifts. Ask for one for your birthday this year.

5 – Meditate

Sometimes all we need is just a moment to clear our minds. Make it a daily habit to relax and meditate. All you need to get started is a quiet place and 5 minutes.

6 – Get A Hotel Room

Get your mind out of the gutter. Sometimes it’s nice to pamper yourself just by getting away from it all. Even if it’s just around the block from you. Sometimes all it takes to relax is a change of scenery.

7 – Relax and Pamper Yourself With A Self Date Night

Who cares if you eat dinner and catch a movie alone? Don’t be self-conscious about going out solo. It’s good for your sanity. I do this at least once a month. It’s good to get out of the house and have a little me time. I typically don’t do anything fancy but you can go all out and treat yourself to a 5-course meal at a 5 star restaurant. How awesome would that be?

8 – Host A Party

Sometimes a great way to pamper yourself is to surround yourself with some good friends. Invite some of your closest friends over and hang out or better yet, host a themed party.

9 – Swim

Go to the beach, local gym or your backyard. Take a nice quiet swim. Many people swear by this. So much so, swimming is part of their everyday morning routine.

10 – Order Birchbox

11 – Get A Pedicure / Manicure

Yes, even you guys. Getting your feet and hands done is a great way to relax and treat yourself.

12 – Go To A Wine Tasting Event

Dress up nice, and classy, and enjoy a night with wine.

13 – Couch And Movie

Sometimes just staying right at home is great way to treat yourself. Turn the lights off, grab some popcorn and wine, and watch a classic. I think the kids these days call it a ‘Netflix and Chill Night’.

14 – Live In The Moment

Pampering yourself doesn’t always have to be about spas, and doing something. You can do absolutely nothing and feel pampered. Living in the moment is a great way to do this.

15 – Picnic In The Park

Enjoy the outdoors with some good food. Get the whole spread going and get a nice picnic basket, blanket, the works!

16 – Take A Walk

Go for a nice afternoon stroll. I try to take a walk every day just to clear my mind and relax.

17 – Relax and Treat yourself With A Good Book

Schedule some time each day to sit and read a good book. A great time to do this is just before bed. It’ll help you unwind and sleep better.

18 – Binge Watch Movies

Find a show you loved in the past or a new one you’ve been wanting to see and binge-watch it. My wife loves to have Sex In The City marathons. So this is a perfect time for me to practice #6 (get a hotel room). Just kidding! I tough it out and watch it with her.

19 – Go See A Play

It can be a school play or a traveling Broadway show. Get out and treat yourself to the world of theater. This reminds me, if you aren’t used to going to see plays and have wine tasting, then now is a good time to start. Doing new and fun things is a great way to live a happier, more fulfilling life.

20 – Get A Makeover

Ladies spend some extra money trying a new look. Guys you do the same.

21 – Create A Look Book

Search the web for great looks you’d like to have. Save the images and work towards updating your style. Instagram is a great place to start.

22 – Start A Craft Project

Paint, sculpt, or build something. It’s relaxing and it will get the creative juices flowing.

23 – Take A Trip To Nowhere

Just get in the car and drive.

24 – Drink Hot Cocoa And Watch Christmas Movies

I don’t care if it’s July, put on some cozy jammies, grab some hot cocoa, and pop in a DVD of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Or go on over to Hallmark and those cheesy but very entertaining Christmas movies. I really love those movies by the way. Don’t tell anyone!

25 – Treat and Pamper Yourself By Shopping

Of course I had to put this on the list. It’s okay to treat yourself and buy something you deserve. Drop the guilt and buy yourself something nice.

I said this before but it’s really important that you work on your self-care. You have to make yourself a priority and recharge your batteries every once in a while. Try these 25 ways to relax and pamper yourself if you have trouble thinking of something. Put it on your calendar, and don’t feel guilty about it. You deserve it!
